This is the largest contemporary arts festival in Portugal, lasting for 40 consecutive hours and including activities for all ages, all families, and the whole family.
DOWNTOWN PORTO ACTIVITIES June 6 and 7 SUPPORTED BY PORTO LAZER, E.M. – CÂMARA MUNICIPAL DO PORTO On Friday, June 6, the Festa will start on the streets of downtown Porto with street theatre and music. Les Moutons (The Sheep) is the show brought by the Corpus Company, who will surprise all of those walking by the Praça D. João I at 16h00 and again at 18h00. The circuit of Avenida dos Aliados, Trindade area and Praça D. João I will be invaded by a peculiar group of women dressed in red. The Red Ladies will shake downtown Porto at 16h30. On Saturday, June 7, the group F.R.I.C.S. (Fanfarra Recreativa e Improvisada Colher de Sopa) will fill downtown Porto with music during the whole morning.
From 8h in the morning on Saturday June 7 until midnight on Sunday June 8, the Park, the Museum, the Auditorium and the Casa of Serralves will feature more than 80 activities and more than 300 artists in more than 200 events.
The areas of music, opera, dance, performance, theatre, new circus, reading, cinema, video, photography, workshops, guided tours and exhibitions will all be represented.
